Требования к эксплуатации оборудования в условиях космоса разделяются на две группы. В первую из них включены все виды механических воздействий, обусловленных динамикой полета (вибронагрузка, ударная нагрузка, акустический шум и др.). Вторая группа требований связана с длительной эксплуатацией оборудования в условиях открытого космоса при пониженном давлении и воздействии проникающей радиации на электронные компоненты.
